Travel TO Leh Ladakh Via Manali :

Ladakh is a place is in India which can be termed as the heaven in earth. Though often we tell Leh Ladakh, but there is a basic difference between this twin places. These two places are the most beautiful places which is being guarded with the two mountain ranges- Great Himalayan and the Karakoram ranges. These mysterious places are not only having the great secrets of natures but also different creation of Almighty to make it a perfect place for heaven.

Leh Ladakh is situated in the Indian State of Jammu and Kashmir, where the state is divided in to three parts: Jammu, Kashmir and Ladakh. Leh is one of the districts in Ladakh while the other is the Kargil.

Now we will be travelling to Leh Ladakh from Manali, another great place in Himachal Pradesh. Taking the road is full of adventure and excitement. Day 1: Departure from Gujarat/Maharashtra/Bengal

Departure from Mumbai/Pune/Ahmedabad/Kolkata by Train and do overnight Journey for Chandigarh.

Day 2:Arrival at Chandigarh / Ambala and Move to Manali

On reaching at Chandigarh / Ambala start for Manali by Tempo and Overnight Journey to Manali.

Day 3: Manali Local Sight-seeing and Shopping Time

Reach Manali in the morning and enjoy the breakfast and check in at Rooms. Later enjoy the Manali local sightseeing and back to Hotel and enjoy the Dinner.

Day 4: Manali to Jispa via Rohtang Pass

Morning start after Breakfast and move to Jispa via Rohtang pass and Check in at Hotel and Overnight stay in Hotel and enjoy the Dinner.

Day 5: Jispa to Leh via Keylong, Bara Lacha Pass and Taglang La pass

After Breakfast and move Leh via Bara Lacha pass,Sarchu, Taglang La pass and enjoy the panoramic view of Mountain and check in at Hotel in Leh enjoy Dinner,Night stay in Leh Hotel.

Day 6: Leh Local Sight-seeing-Hemis Monastery, Thikksey Monastery and SheyPalac

Breakfast and move to Leh Local Sightseeing like – Hemis Monastery, Thiksey Monastery, Shey Palace, 3 Idiots School and SindhuGhat and move back to Hotel for Dinner and Overnight stay In Leh Hotel.


Day 7: Leh to Nubra Valley via Khardunla Pass, Hundar and Diskit Monastery

Morning Breakfast and move to Nubra Valley via Khardungla Pass, Hundar, Diskit Monastery Palace and enjoy the route and move to hotel for Dinner and Overnight stay in Swiss tent.


Day 8: Nubra Valley to Leh viaPangong Lake and Chang La Pass.

Breakfast and move to Pangong lake and Shayok lake and enjoy the location and move to Leh and enjoy the dinner at Leh Hotel.

Day 9: Leh to Sarchu via Moore Plains, Lachulung La, Pang, Tanlanala and Nakeela.

Day 10:Sarchu to Manali via Baralacha La, Jispa and Rohtang Pass

After Break move to Manali enjoy sight-seeing of Baralacha La, Keylong, Jispa and Rohtang Pass. Check in hotel at Manali in evening and enjoy dinner and night stay at Manali

Day 11:Manali to Chandigarh / Ambala via Kullu.

 After Breakfast move to Chandigarh / Ambala and on the visiti Kullu Sight-seeing. Arrival at Chandigarh railway station pick-up train for Gujarat/Maharashtra/Bengal.

Day12: On the Way to Final Destination (Train Journey)

A guide for the road trip to Ladakh from Manali

Here is a guide for the road trip from Manali to Leh Ladakh.

The distance between the two places, i.e Leh Ladakh to Manali is 473 kms through the Manali Leh Highway.

To avail the road route, you need to choose the time between the June to September. Rest of the months the route is totally covered with snow. The snow clearing procedure starts from the months of March though, but it is safe to travel in and around June. Maximum of 2 days will be required with adequate rests and stops on the way.

Vehicles that you can take to cover the distance are: On Motorcycle, by jeep, by bus. There are many other places to visit during the road trip. These places are also unmatchable with the nature’s beautiful creation.
