First, begin with the Manali Rohtang Highway to the fields of Gulaba. From here, you will get a wonderful view of the Kullu valley. The trails of the valley stretch eastwards and enter the forest. As you keep on walking, the higher altitude may make it difficult for you to breath. By afternoon, you will reach to your destination.
Day 2: At Bhrigu Lake
This day is dedicated to complete leisurely activities in and around the magnificent mountains. The night ends with a campfire at the shore of the lake.
Day 3: Bhrigu – Vashisht
Leave the lake, walk across the meadow and begin climbing the ridge of the mountain to the village of Vashisht. Take your time and walk through the forest. Get into the apple orchards. Finally, by evening, you will reach the village which is just 3 kms away from Manali.
Jogini Waterfall trek
After you have reached the Vashisht village at night, take rest. The next morning start walking from the Vashisht temple. On your way, you will find lots of restaurants to finish your breakfast. By 30 minutes of walk, you will reach the base of the waterfall. From the base, climb up till you reach the topmost position of the waterfall.
The suitable time for photography in this location is the afternoon. This is the time when the sun rays directly fall at the base of the water droplets. The duration for this trek will be 2 hours. Spend the remaining of the day in the local sightseeing. Once you get down, you can stay there for the night. For some fun, make arrangements for a campfire.
Trekking at higher campsites
If you want to travel more upward, you can straight away go to the Pulag from Jogini waterfalls. The trek will take about 3 to 3.5 hours. While traveling back to the base, you can either choose to walk or catch a bus. Besides camping in the Rocky Mountains, you can add some spice to your trek. How? Well, choose the snow camping.
However, all the treks are inclusive of:
Trekking down to base campsite
Finally, a lot of travelling has been done. Now it is time to get back to the normal course of life. Come down to the base camp and go for some shopping. The Mall Road is the ideal for Kashmiri shawls, woolens, and silk saris. In fact, the Mall Road is the shopping hub of Manali. The final day can be ended with one last campfire in the base camp.
